Butterflies, since ancient times, have been associated with the soul in many cultures around the globe. Blue topaz is known as the stone of communication and unity, for its alleged power to bring the mind, body and spirit into union with the universe. Butterflies blossom from small, sometimes ugly caterpillars- and so the soul has endless potential to blossom anew, shed its difficulties, and realize its higher purpose. Here we've combined a gorgeous butterfly disc pendant with a startlingly brilliant London blue topaz drop on a hammered 18K chain for a substantial, interest-giving bracelet with meaning and value beyond the gold and precious gem it is made of.
7.5 inches (standard bracelet length). Lobster clasp. All components 18K gold.
Co-designed by husband and wife partners Courteney Cox and David Arquette along with Satya Jewelry, the butterfly is the symbol of hope and freedom. This bracelet was created to benefit the EB Medical Research Foundation, a charity that is close to both of their hearts. EB is a rare skin disease affecting someone near and dear to both David & Courteney. “We are committed to raising awareness and money to help find a cure for EB so these wonderful children can live a healthy and normal life.”
The Satya Foundation donates 100% of the proceeds from the sale of this necklace to the Epidermolysis Bullosa Medical Research Foundation, aiming to find a cure for a rare childhood skin disease
